I have 9+ years of professional freelance modeling experience. I specialize in fine art modeling, but am available for many different kinds of photoshoot themes, either in or out of a mermaid tail. Fine Art Modeling
Fine art photography emphasizes overall composition and tone to express the photographer’s artistic intent. As an experienced model, my goal is to help you convey your story, emotion, or concept during the photoshoot. I will take the idea you want to express and work with you to make sure poses, styling, and facial expressions all contribute to your vision.
I have a large and varied wardrobe and selection of props that I can contribute to fine art sessions if you don’t have pieces you intend to use already. Before shooting we will discuss the setup you desire, and if I have suitable elements I will bring them with me. We will also discuss hair and makeup options if you have not hired a separate artist to handle them.
These shoots can take place in a studio or on location. I am absolutely willing to hike, climb, and jump in rivers/lakes to help you get the perfect shot (within safety considerations). I’ve modeled at the edges of 1000ft cliffs, 6 feet underwater, and after hiking a quarter mile up a rock face away from the photographer. Whatever your dream is, we’ll make it work!
Underwater Modeling
I love to bring my passion for swimming and underwater environments to my modeling. As an experienced swimmer, I can safely hold my breath while posing and keeping my expression from showing how much work underwater photography really is! While my speciality is mermaid photos, I also love to do artistic shoots with flowing fabric, dresses, and props. I also have special products & tricks to keep makeup lasting longer through the shoot instead of washing off. While most underwater shoots take place in swimming pools to help control environmental factors and lighting, I am very into natural swimming in lakes, rivers, and pools; and am happy to hike while packing in outfits/equipment to more remote outdoor locations.
Bridal Modeling
Wedding & elopement photography can form the staple of some photographer’s careers, and even if they’re not your specialty, they’re a great addition to any portfolio. If you don’t want the hassle and drama of shooting an entire real wedding, mock bridals/elopements are a great and low-stress way to capture those shots.I have worked with multiple photographers for both group and solo shoots. I can model either on my own or with another model as part of a couple, while still making the photos look natural and carefree. I am experienced with creating connections in photos even with strangers, and can help with posing for both men & women if you have other less experienced models as part of the group. This allows you to focus on the work behind the camera while I help direct what happens in front, making the process much more enjoyable than shooting an actual wedding.
Fashion/Editorial Modeling
Casual, elegant, high-concept–whatever your personal or commercial needs are, I will work to help you accomplish them. After 7 years of modeling work I am experienced with posing, so you can focus on getting the shots you need without having to micromanage every movement and expression. I am comfortable with both studio and location work, and if you don’t have specific clothing items/outfits you want to use, I can discuss supplying wardrobe elements as well. I can provide my own hair & makeup styling depending on complexity, if you do not have a HMU artist also involved.
